Following the Council on General Affairs and Policy’s appreciation of the very good progress made in respect of the Judgment Project and its mandate to the Permanent Bureau to continue preparations for a Fourth and final Meeting of the Special Commission, a revised Preliminary Explanatory Report on the Judgments Project, drafted by Professors F.J. Garcimartín Alférez and G. Saumier, has been published by the Special Commission on the Judgments Project and is available on the Hague Conference website. The fourth meeting of the Special Commission on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Judgments will be held on 24-29 May 2018 in The Hague, the Netherlands. The agenda is available here.
The Permanent Bureau was also mandated to make arrangements for the preparation of a Diplomatic Session in mid-2019 and for a further meeting of the Experts’ Group addressing matters relating to direct jurisdiction, shortly after the conclusion of the Diplomatic Session.
