I am a psychologist and I have worked as neuropsychologist at San Camillo Hospital in Turin for one year, where I learned the use of the principal tests for neurophychological assessment of cognitive functions and the most recent techniques for neurorihabilitation. At the same time, I participated in several research projects focused on the study of the relation between body ownership and motor awareness in brain damaged patients and in children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, as well as in healthy subjects. I am currently attending the second year of the PhD program in Philosophy and Human Sciences at University of Milan. My PhD project deals with one of the most fascinating aspects of human cognition, i.e. self-consciousness. In particular, I am studying two crucial aspects of self-conciousness, motor awareness and body ownership, utilizing behavioral and physiological experimental tasks.
