CV
Donatella POTENZA graduated in Chemistry at the University of Milano. From 2005 till 2011 she has been the group leader of the NMR research line of the Centre of Excellence established by MIUR at the University of Milano.
Research Interests
Donatella main research interests focus on:
- Structural and dynamics characterization of biologically active molecules by NMR spectroscopy, with a particular focus on glyco- and peptido-mimetic compounds.
- NMR study of Ligand-Receptor interactions. Ligand-based NMR techniques are applied to identify the bioactive conformation and the epitope mapping of the biologically active compounds potentially useful in various pathologies such as cancer or neurodegenerative disorders.
- The experiments were performed on RNA constructs, purified proteins in solution or “in vivo" cellular systems, with a particular focus on membrane proteins.
- Characterization and identification of protein receptor sites.
