On March 21 at the Accademia dei Lincei in Rome, there will be an important event on the occasion of XXIV World Water Day in which Prof. Guglielmina Diolaiuti from the State University of Milan will participate.
After talks by speakers Prof. Carlo Baroni of the University of Pisa, Prof. Carlo Barbante of Cà Foscari University, ISP-CNR and Prof. Harry Zekollari of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel of Belgium, there will be a panel discussion on “Glacial hazards” chaired by Prof. Fausto Guzzetti, IRPI-CNR Lyncean.
In the afternoon at 2:30 p.m., Prof. Diolaiuti will speak on “Karakoram glaciers: state of health and future challenges for non-European glaciers.”
This will be followed by talks by Jacopo Gabrielli of ISP-CNR in Venice, Valter Maggi of the University of Milan Bicocca, Florence Colleoni of OGS in Trieste, and Barbara Stenni of Cà Foscari University in Venice.
