The annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the ADB is an opportunity to provide guidance on the administrative, financial and operational direction of the ADB.
The meetings provide an opportunity for member governments to interact with ADB staff, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), the media and representatives of observer countries, international organisations, academia and the private sector. The ADB annual meetings have become a leading forum for the discussion of economic and social development issues in Asia and the Pacific.
The 58th ADB Annual Meeting will be held in Milan from 4 to 7 May 2025.
During all the days of the meeting, participants will be able to view the Exhibition set up by EVk2CNR, UNIMI and the other scientific partners to illustrate the monitoring, research and training activities carried out in High Mountain Asia over the past 30 years.
In order to allow people to better enjoy the exhibition, to calmly review its contents and to extend it also to those who are not present at the ADB annual meeting, UNIMI ESP has developed this Virtual Exhibition that allows online both to view the panels and to watch short videos explaining the contents of each panel.
There are 7 panels, the first one is an introduction to the importance of mountains and their resources for Asia and the entire Planet. The second panel illustrates the activities of EvK2CNR, a non-governmental association that has been coordinating research and cooperation projects in Asia and other mountainous areas of the Planet for over 30 years. UNIMI has been a partner of EvK2CNR for three decades and shares its passion for the study, protection and promotion of mountain ranges and their resources.
The other 5 panels are dedicated to specific topics tackled by researchers within research and development cooperation projects. They are: GLACIER, WATER, AIR, NATURE, PEOPLE.
