On June 17 the WMO (World Meteorological Organization) delegates were offered by Italy (Aeronautica Militare, Italian Consulate in Geneva, evk2cnr Committee, University of Milan ESP and CNR ISAC) a side event where, through institutional speeches and scientific reports, the Italian activities on the planet’s high glaciated chains and in particular – but not only – in Asia in the so-called Third Pole was illustrated.
The event received much interest from WMO delegates and representatives and was a valuable opportunity for new joint strategies for monitoring the cryosphere in these remote areas of the Planet.
Prof. Guglielmina Diolaiuti for the University of Milan ESP -EvK2CNR Committee spoke.
Through its faculty and their activities APGEST is also present in international institutional venues such as the World Meteorological Organization (WMO)
