Sarah Mazzotta obtained her master’s degree in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences at University of Calabria in 2016. In the same year she applied to a Pharmacy PhD program at University of Seville in joint supervision with University of Calabria.
Her PhD research activity was focused on the design and synthesis of novel compounds as potential inhibitors of Adenovirus infection, but she was also involved in the development of semi-synthetic hybrids as new GPR120 ligands, useful in wound healing management, and new TRPV4 inhibitors.
She loves the preparation of bioactive molecules by using synthetic methods and alternative strategies.
She is a motivated and friendly person eager to gain new knowledge from her colleagues.
