I am a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor (Ricercatore a Tempo Determinato di Tipo B in Italian) at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Milan. My position is funded by the Program for Young Researchers Rita Levi-Montalcini 2016 of the Italian Ministry of Education and Research (MIUR).

My previous positions were: postdoc at the University of Florence (2018-2019), James H. Simons Instructor at Stony Brook University (2015-2018) and postdoc at the University of Bonn (2013-2015). I completed my Ph.D. in 2013 at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

My research interests lie in Algebraic Geometry. More specifically they include birational geometry, irregular varieties, generic vanishing theory, and derived categories of sheaves.
