Sara Parmigiani (1986) was born in the charming Franciacorta. She obtained her BA in Logic and Philosophy of Science (2009) and her MA in Cognitive Science and Decision Making (2012). She is currently a PhD candidate (2013-2016) at the CIMeC center for Mind/Brain Sciences of the University of Trento. Her research focus is on the perceptual, motor and cognitive processes that enable individuals to control and select their actions, as well as to coordinate them with others; in particular regarding the possible intrinsic interactions and implications between the motor and the conceptual features of the selection process. She runs experiments taking advantage of electric and magnetic stimulation techniques (TMS, tDCS, electric stimulation) as well as behavioral (eye-tracking) and neuroimaging (fMRI) methods.
