(Short) Curriculum Vitae

I received the Ph.D. degree in Physics from the University of Milan, Italy, in 2004 and I am currently Associate Professor at the Department of Physics, University of Milan, Italy. I am a theoretician, and my interests include quantum information, quantum estimation, quantum optics, quantum interferometry, and quantum computation. My main contributions are in the fields of quantum estimation of states and operations, generation and application of entanglement, decoherence, quantum information and communication (see the list of publications). Although my research activity is mainly theoretical, he is an active collaborator in many experimental groups.
