Desio&#8221;\u00a0<\/a> is one of Italy&#8217;s five Departments of Excellence of Area 04 (Earth Sciences) and one of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lastatalenews.unimi.it\/dipartimenti-eccellenza-otto-vincitori-statale\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">8 departments of excellence of the University of Milan<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Department of Earth Sciences won the excellence sigil with a project titled&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dipterra.unimi.it\/ecm\/home\/ricerca\/progetto-deccellenza-le-geoscienze-per-la-societa-risorse-e-loro-evoluzione\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&#8220;The geosciences for the society&#8221;<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fundings received were used to activate several PhD projects for the 35<sup>th<\/sup>, 36<sup>th<\/sup> and 37<sup>th <\/sup>cycles:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Fabiola CASO<\/strong>, 37<sup>th<\/sup> cycle<br>tutor: Michele ZUCALI<br>project title: <em>Influenza del gradiente di deformazione nel comportamento di elementi strategici (Li, REE) durante metamorfismo di HT e fusione: approccio integrato microstrutturale e geochimico.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Federica LANGONE<\/strong>, 37<sup>th<\/sup> cycle<br>tutor: Francesca FORNI; co-tutor: Federico FARINA<br>project title: <em>Evoluzione di grandi reservoir magmatici e genesi delle ignimbriti ad essi associate.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Giulia Federica MASSINELLI<\/strong>, 37<sup>th<\/sup> cycle<br>tutor: Prof. Nicoletta MARINONI; co-tutor: Diego G.
