Resilience and Recovery between City and Countryside in the Greek World. <\/strong><\/em>Il convegno si pre\ufb01gge di offrire nuovi spunti circa il rapporto tra citt\u00e0 e territorio nei periodi di crisi, analizzando come i due elementi dialoghino e si condizionino a vicenda in un\u2019equazione ben pi\u00f9 complessa del tradizionale modello bipolare centro\/periferia.<\/p>\n<p>A breve verr\u00e0 pubblicato il programma definitivo dell&#8217;evento.<\/p>\n<p>Per info scrivere ad\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unimi.it\/it\/ugov\/person\/alessandro-pace\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Alessandro Pace<\/span><\/strong> <\/a>(<a href=\"mailto:alessandro.pace@unimi.it\">alessandro.pace@unimi.it<\/a>)<br \/><br \/><\/p>\n<p><em>La crisi e il collasso di una societ\u00e0 porta con s\u00e9 periodi difficili per le comunit\u00e0 che gli sopravvivono, le quali devono dimostrare una forte capacit\u00e0 di resilienza, ovvero sapersi adattare rapidamente alle nuove condizioni politiche ed economiche.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Nel mondo greco, la crisi e la scomparsa di organismi statali complessi, essenzialmente le poleis, sono dovuta nella maggior parte dei casi a cause esogene, ovvero fenomeni bellici. La pratica di distruggere una citt\u00e0, o urbicidio, con tutte le conseguenze materiali e psicologiche che le sono connesse, \u00e8 piuttosto rara in et\u00e0 arcaica, ma diventa via via pi\u00f9 comune a partire dalla \ufb01ne del V sec. a.C., per toccare poi la sua acme in et\u00e0 ellenistica. Le ultime prospettive di ricerca sono concordi nel sottolineare come le notizie lasciateci dalle fonti relative alla distruzione di un centro abitato e alla tragica sorte della sua popolazione siano spesso esagerate e raccontino una storia diversa se confrontate con quella ricostruibile a partire dal dato archeologico. Ma anche quando documentabili, le distruzioni hanno portato raramente alla \ufb01ne della frequentazione di un sito, mostrando come le comunit\u00e0 antiche fossero dotate di una grande capacit\u00e0 di ripresa, in grado di far superare il momento critico successivo all\u2019evento distruttivo. Ripresa non signi\ufb01ca per\u00f2 che le violenze materiali e psicologiche non abbiano lasciato tracce sulla comunit\u00e0 che le ha subite, come dimostra il fatto che in molti casi dalla fase post- distruzione emerge una societ\u00e0 diversa, tanto sotto il punto di vista urbanistico, che culturale.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>L\u2019episodio distruttivo costituisce dunque un turning point nella storia di una comunit\u00e0 ed \u00e8 per questo che esso ha attirato cos\u00ec tanto l\u2019attenzione degli studiosi, focalizzatasi quasi esclusivamente sulle dinamiche riguardanti il centro urbano, dimenticando colpevolmente di coinvolgere i dati provenienti dal territorio, senza i quali non \u00e8 possibile ricostruire un quadro completo.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Tradizionalmente la distruzione di una citt\u00e0 \u00e8 letta come causa diretta e ineludibile della crisi che colpisce anche il territorio circostante, il quale, venuto meno il sito centrale, si impoverisce e si spopola. Ma quanto \u00e8 veritiera questa prospettiva?
