Alessandro G. Buda
Alessandro G. Buda is a PhD Student in the doctoral programme “The human mind and its explanations: Language, brain and reasoning” offered by Università degli studi di Milano, IUSS di Pavia and Scuola Normale di Pisa, and member of the Logic, Uncertainty, Computation and Information Group (luci.unimi.it) and of the Philtech Research Center (philtech.unimi.it) in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Milan, Italy.
He is president and founder of Wazabit, and CCO and co-founder of MIRAI, a spin-off of the University of Milan dedicated to developing responsible AI.
A software developer since 1999, his interests focus on the logics and the pragmatics of information and computation, both symbolic and data-driven. His actual research aims at providing formal, experimental, and practical methods to detect and mitigate biases in complex systems, such as generative and predictive models.
