Participation

Registration

Each event of the trimester registers separately. Registration is free, but places are limited and advance registration is required for all events.

Four separate forms

Register for an event

Registering for one event does not register you for the others. If you plan to attend more than one, please fill in each form. If you'd like to take part in the trimester more generally — an extended visit, the regular seminars, or office space — rather than registering for one of the four events below, see general participation.

Registration for the Higher Structures summer school is open. The forms for the other three events will be activated in good time before each one, and an announcement will be circulated on the usual mailing lists. Until then, please write to the organizers if you have questions about attending.

· Summer school

Higher Structures in Arithmetic Geometry

Open to PhD students, postdocs, and researchers. The registration form also collects poster submissions and requests for support; priority for support goes to junior participants without their own funding. Deadline: 1 March 2027.

Not tied to one event

General participation & long-term visits

If you'd like to be part of the trimester without registering for one of the four events above — for instance an extended research visit, joining the regular seminars, or using office space during a stay in Milano — please use this separate, general registration form instead.

We are not able to offer further financial support through this form at this time. Support is available only in connection with specific events, and requires registering separately on that event's own form. We may be able to offer office space during your stay, subject to availability — indicate this on the form.

Junior participants

Financial support

A limited amount of funding is available to help PhD students and early-career researchers attend. Requests are made through the registration form of the relevant event.

Who can apply

PhD students and postdocs without sufficient funding of their own. Applicants from institutions in the REMOLD network are also encouraged to check with their local node first.

What is covered

Typically a contribution towards accommodation, and in some cases towards travel. Details will be given in the registration form.

Deadlines

Higher Structures: 1 March 2027, for both registration and support requests. Deadlines for the other events will be announced here and on each event page once their forms open.

Before you register

Practical notes

A few things that come up often. Anything not covered here can be sent to the organizers directly.

Visa and invitation letters

If you need a letter of invitation for a visa, indicate this on the registration form and register as early as you can — Italian visa procedures can take several weeks.

Accommodation

Participants normally book their own accommodation. Suggested hotels and guest houses near the Department will be listed on each event page.

Your data

Registration data is used only to organize the events and is not shared outside the organizing committee. Name and affiliation may appear in the published list of participants.
