Tenure-Track Assistant Professor
Francesco Fagnani obtained his master’s degree in Chemistry in 2019 (110/110 e lode) at the University of Milan under the supervision of prof. Claudia Dragonetti and prof. Alessia Colombo; then he obtained the doctorate in Chemistry (XXXV cycle) in 2022 in the same research group, with a thesis on different applications of luminescent N^C^N-Pt(II) complexes. From October 2022 to March 2023 he spent a post-doc period at the Université de Montréal (Montréal, Canada) working in the research group of Christian Reber, in which he investigated the luminescent properties of platinum compounds at low temperature and under high pressure.
From May 2023 to April 2025 he worked as a post-doc fellow in the Department of Chemistry of the University of Milan under the supervision of prof. Dominique Roberto. He is currently a Tenure-Track Researcher (RTT) in the research group of prof. Roberto, Dragonetti and Colombo, working with them on the application of luminescent compounds in different fields such as electroluminescent devices (OLEDs), bio-imaging, photodynamic therapy, etc.
