Maurizio Maugeri is a full professor at University of Milan. His research focuses on climate reconstruction for Italy, the Alpine region, and the Mediterranean over the last 200–250 years, and on the impacts of climate variability and change on sectors such as energy and water resources. He studies climate change signals in tree rings, the evolution of the Alpine and Asian high-mountain cryosphere, and develops climate services, citizen science initiatives, and tools for climate change communication.
