25th Alpine Glaciology Meeting

The Alpine Glaciology Meeting 2021 was held successfully as a virtual meeting, organised by a joint team from Milan and Munich. We have decided to keep this team and organise also the upcoming meeting together.

At the moment, we plan the AGM 2022 to be a physical meeting in Munich. However, if pandemic conditions deteriorate, we might have to switch to a fully virtual conference. Based on the experience from last year, we will also accept virtual contributions via an online platform. Given these uncertainties, we would like to invite all interested people to join us for two days of scientific presentations and discussions on

24 and 25 March 2022 in Munich and online.

The meeting will serve as a forum for presenting new scientific work related to mountain glaciers from the Alps and elsewhere in relation to environment and climate. Especially early career scientists are welcome to present their ideas and projects. Oral presentations should not exceed 15 minutes. For the posters we will organise an open discussion forum. Online contributions are also welcome, but we prefer a physical presence, in order to allow in-depth discussions. We expect abstracts to be submitted by

25 February 2022

to the following email: AGM25.2022(at)gmail.com or via this form.

The final program will be circulated around the 10th of March. If you send us an early indication of participation, we will include you in an email list for more specific information about the venue, hotels, transport etc. This information will also be soon available on the conference website: https://geo.badw.de/en/events/agm2022.html.

The organising team looks forward to meeting as many enthusiastic researchers as possible in Munich!
