Town Twinning Project
| Name and description of the project: | Town Twinning between Turkey and EU (Twinning for a Green Future) |
| Duration, programme, funding (Cerv or Erasmus+) and partnership: | The project, financed by the European Union, lasts for 12 months. The Municipality of Cinisello Balsamo is the lead partner of this project, with the collaboration of the Municipality of Edremit, the University of Milan and Legambiente Foundation Innovation. |
| Specific objectives of the project: | ◈ Improve knowledge in youth regarding the environmental topic, especially the EU policies about climate changes ◈ Increase the young citizens participation at local level, to propose new initiatives regarding the climate impact of the local community ◈ Develop more awareness regarding the environmental sustainability between the Municipalities involved in the project |
| Project Activities: | ◈ Kick-off meeting with partners ◈ Two seminars for 20 young people about the climate changes topic ◈ Climate Change Summit, in the Regione Lombardia Palace, in Milan ◈ International Meeting in Edremit with the participation of two other Municipalities, Strasbourg and Sonderborg ◈ Online Event to launch the project results |
| Final results: | ◈ Creation of the Youth Climate Council at local level, in the two countries partner ◈ Production of an E-Book collecting all the materials from the project ◈ Development of two online platforms used to share updates and ideas promoted by the Youth Council |
