Social Anthropology Lab

The Social Anthropology Lab brings together anthropologists in the Department of Philosophy “Piero Martinetti”. It promotes research activities with a view to fostering collaboration with external partners, research that concerns above all the scientific study of cultural diversity, both synchronically and diachronically. The work of the laboratory is oriented towards the development of scientific debate, ethnographic investigation and research projects on topics of central significance: intercultural dynamics and mobility in contexts of social inclusion and exclusion; different worldviews and indigenous epistemologies; the indigenization processes connected to technological and environmental transformations; and new possibilities for ethnographic understanding of institutions and platforms in emerging digital frontiers.
