Arian Grainca
PhD student at the impianti pilota laboratory under the supervision of the professor Carlo Pirola.
He got a Master degree with full marks in Industial Cemistry with a Thesis called: “Analysis of possible improvements in methane based processes: LNG plants and NG distribution pipelines”.
The main research topic is on the CO2 catalytical hydrogenation for the formation of hydrocarbons, the utilization of dynamic simulation softwares and studies of danger and operativity of laboratory plants.
Supervised projects:
- Simulation of the process of a Fischer-Tropsch plant: characterization of the fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
- Study of methyl-esters: experimental and theoretical determination of the vapour pressure and the separation of different FAMEs (fatty acid methyl esters) fractions.
