Chemical plants laboratory - Bachelor's degree in Chimica Industriale
Professor C. Pirola teaches in collaboration with professor I. Rossetti in the chemical plant course, specifically he is in charge of the laboratory module.
The chemical plants laboratory is done in the pilot plants lab and gives a global view to the research work that is necessary to develop an industrial process, focusing on the separation processes, starting from the preliminary tests on the single components and their thermodynamic behaviour, to the work on separation columns for the study of efficiency of the real industrial processes.
The laboratory also offers the possibility to see, thanks to a virtual reality enviroment, how a real chemical plant looks and to look at the basis of automation and sensors through an activity with Arduino.

Industrial processes and scale-up – Master in Industrial Chemistry
During the Master course of study in Industrial Chemistry, professor C. Pirola theaches in the course of Industrial Processes and Scale-up, where is possible to look in detail at the process of development of a plant proposed, starting from data and proccesses already existing in a reduced scale or in laboratory, analyzing the problems that this transformation has and the right method for the development of a project.
