Area: Plant - Experimental
Description: The Fischer-Tropsch synthesis in an important reaction that allows the formation of hydrocarbons starting from CO and Hydrogen thanks to catalyzers based on Iron and Cobalt, in this study we are trying to use CO2as reagent, that is able to do a water-gas shift reaction and offering a important possibility for the recovery of carbon dioxide, main product of combustions that has a great impact as greenhouse gas.
The project will focus on the study of new catalytic materials, as supported structures, and the research of the optimal reaction conditions trought an experimental work on the reduced scale plant in the figure, that is able to work in continuous up to 30 bar and 400°C. It's also part of the work the synthesis and characterization of the catalyzers with TEM, SEM, XPS, TRP, ICP an fo the products with TOC, GC and micro-GC.
