My work focuses on the isolation of anti-microbial peptide aptamers from combinatorial libraries targeting fungal and oomycetes cell-wall-associated enzymes through a yeast two-hybrid approach. I am also interested on the structural and functional characterization of these peptide-enzyme interactions.

I'm a PhD student working on fruit development and ripening in the model species Arabidopsis thaliana and Solanum lycopersicum. I'm interested in understanding how plants develop mature fruits and seeds according both to endogenous and environmental signals, and how they re-organize the entire plant metabolism in order to promote a successfull ripening. For this reason, I'm interested also in studying the senescence process.
