Instructions for Oral presenters

We will accept many types of video presentations, from very simple ones, like audio power point presentations delivered as mp4 (follow the link below for a very clear and simple instruction file prepared by the ISE office), to self-recorded videos using e.g. online platforms like Teams/Zoom/Skype, up to semi-professional/professional videos. Whatever the presentation type, we strongly recommend to provide it in mp4 format, to minimize compatibility issues when publishing it on the platform.

Videos should be sent to patrizia.mussini@unimi.it in early August and in any case by August 21st by WeTransfer or similar, so that we can upload and test them in the Team Hall with ISE officers in late August.

How to use WeTransfer if you are not yet familiar with it:

Please be so kind to concurrently send (to patrizia.mussini@unimi.it) an accompanying email message, too, using the email address with which you want to be registered in the Symposium Hall in our Teams platform. In fact, we will concurrently upload your video and register you as Symposium participant in the Hall, which will enable you to access it.

According to the ISE guidelines concerning copyright issues, the organizers will also require from you to confirm the following lines:

For all participants:
X I understand that storing of content presented in the ISE Online Meeting is strictly prohibited in any form and format. Violation may lead to the exclusion from the meeting.
For presenters:
X As a presenter I retain the copyright of all my material provided that copyright has not already transferred to a third party. I confirm that I have obtained copyright permission for all content of my presentation for which this is required.

Please download and read carefully the following ISE letter with detailed advice to presenters concerning copyright issues

Presentation lengths:

Keynote Presentations: up to 40′

Invited Oral Presentations: up to 20′

Oral Presentations: up to 20

Optional Flash Presentations for poster presenters: up to 3′

The presentation durations can be somehow flexible (above “up to” benchmarks), considering that there will not be a presentation time schedule.

Videos, thematically grouped (in groups A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, see provisional detailed scientific program), will be continuously available from Wednesday September 2nd  (8.30 am CEST) to Friday September 4th (6 pm CEST) to participants from all over the world.

Each video will be placed in a dedicated channel with associated post thread, enabling interactions between presentation author and attendees in asynchronous mode and even in self-arranged live video meetings.

Moreover, synchronous live events will organized to discuss groups of presentations, with suitable chairpersons, as follows:

  • Wednesday:

13.30-14.30 CEST Synchronous Live Discussions/Round Table with suitable chairpersons on presentations included in groups A and B
