Any mathematician or group of mathematicians intending to run a conference, workshop, or summer/winter school in K-theory and/or related areas is welcome to submit a proposal to the Foundation by writing to the Foundation’s president (currently Marc Levine, University of Essen).

Proposals may be submitted at any time, but because most of the Foundation’s income is received around the end of the calendar year, funding decisions will be made once a year in January.  The number of conferences supported in any year may vary, depending on the Foundation’s financial situation at the time and the strength of the proposals received.  Decisions will be made by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, or by a committee of distinguished mathematicians appointed by the Board for this purpose.
