Access denied, most common problems

You have enrolled or transferred less than 48 hours ago

The activation of services can take up to 48 hours, try again in a few days.

More info:

During activation, minor disruptions or malfunctions may occur (eg: misaligned information). Within 48 hours everything will normally be fixed, otherwise contact InformaStudenti for a check.

To access InformaStudenti you can also use your external account or register a new one.

Check which account you are using

To access the services, use the @studenti.unimi.it or @unimi.it account (doctoral and postgraduate students).

The external account (without @) is used for enrolment procedures, InformaStudenti and a few other services.

If you are enrolled, you should have a @studenti.unimi.it account. The name and password are shown in the enrolment receipt (last page).

If you have not received the activation email, write to InformaStudenti.

Access is suddenly denied

You can no longer log in to your email

If your email no longer works (while everything else is up and running) remember that the @studenti.unimi.it email is deactivated after 2 years.

The email box is deactivated two academic years after the last renewal (since graduation, including from single courses). You have no longer access to your emailbox or emails.

If you enrol again, the same email account will be reactivated (but only after enrolment).

Your email is managed through Microsoft 365 and its username and password are the same you use to access all the other online services.
For safety reasons, multifactor authentication (MFA) has been implemented, requiring users to take a further step for authentication after entering their username and password. For further Information and instructions on MFA, please visit the University website.

You can no longer log in to any service

Check that you are current with tuition and administrative formalities, and that you have not lapsed.
