Ivan received his PhD degree in Industrial Chemistry in 2015 at the Università degli Studi di Milano under the supervision of Prof. Elena Selli and continued there as Post Doc Fellow.
His research is focused on solar energy conversion into storable fuels through photoelectrocatalysis and photocatalysis, on electrochemistry and on the study of charge carrier dynamics using transient absorption spectroscopy.
Winner of the 2018 ‘Marie Curie Individual Fellowship’ he is currently collaborating with the group of Prof. Edward Sargent at the University of Toronto, where he is advancing his QuantumSolarFuels project concerning the production of renewable fuels
