Dr. Annalisa Polo
Annalisa graduated cum laude at the University of Padua in 2016 with a thesis entitled “Coherent Dynamics in the Ultrafast Relaxation of BODIPY Dyes: 2D Electronic Spectroscopic Characterization”, under the supervision of Prof. Elisabetta Collini.
In 2017 she joined the UniMi Photocatalysis Group, where she obtained her PhD degree in Chemistry in March 2021 under the supervision of Dr. Dozzi and Prof. Selli, with a thesis entitled “Ternary Oxide Semiconductor Photoanodes for Solar Energy Conversion”.
She is now continuing to work at UPG as Post Doc Fellow, deepening her research on the development and optimization of new semiconductor materials able to convert and store solar energy into chemical energy through photoelectrochemical processes.
Dr. Brando Adranno
Dr. Brando Adranno obtained his PhD in Material Chemistry at Stockholm University in 2022 studying thermal, optical and structural properties of light-emitting ionic materials. During his first year of PhD, he successfully graduated in violin at the Conservatory of Ferrara. Previously, he earned his Bachelor and Master degrees with 110/110 cum laudae at University of Ferrara.
His research focus space from the synthesis of tailored materials and their characterization to their application and relative performances in devices.
Dr. Marco Montalbano
Marco Montalbano is a PhD in chemistry, graduated in October 2023. His main research interests concern the morphological modification, doping and surface modification of TiO2 photocatalysts. Currently, he’s working as post-doctoral research fellow at University of Milan, focusing on the development of innovative materials for the photoelectrochemical valorisation of carbon dioxide.
