Maria Filippa Addis

Role in CASCO: analysis of the gastrointestinal microbiome.

Degree in Biological Sciences, PhD in Microbiology and specialist in Microbiology and Virology. She is associate professor of Infectious Diseases of Animal at DIMEVET. The main area of research concerns the application of -omics methods to the study of microorganisms and the immune response of the animal host, aimed at understanding the pathogen-host relationship, the development of diagnostic and prophylactic tools, and the repercussions on the quantity and quality of animal production. She has been involved for several years in the development and application of methods for the study of microbiomes. Her research activities focused mainly on dairy ruminants, including goats.
