2025 State of the Union

On September 10th, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen delivered her annual State of the Union address before the European Parliament, outlining the challenges facing the EU's future. Finestre sull’Europa, the new monographic series of the Italian CDE network

They're now available in our EDC two physical copies of the first issue of Finestre sull’Europa, the monographic series of scientific-divulgative nature, promoted and edited by the Italian Network of European Documentation Centres and published by Cnr Edizioni.
Digital and open access, the series is designed for a wide and diverse audience of researchers, professionals, university students, but also for all those who wish to deepen their knowledge of the European Union and actively participate in the public debate on European issues. Continue reading >>

Denmark takes over the Presidency of the Council of the EU from 1 July 2025

As of 1 July 2025, Denmark is holding the rotating Presidency of the Council of the EU for the eighth time, this time in a trio with Poland – which held the Presidency from 1st January to 30th June 2025 – and Cyprus, which will take over from 1st January 2026.

Under the slogan “A strong Europe in a changing world”, the Danish Presidency is committed to steering the work of the Council, promoting the EU agenda and coordinating policies between member countries by focusing its actions mainly on two priorities: A secure Europe and a competitive and green Europe.
