GEI 2026 features an exceptionally rich and exciting scientific program, we kindly ask for everyone’s cooperation in ensuring that all sessions run smoothly and according to schedule. Respecting the allocated presentation times is essential for the success of the conference and for providing equal opportunities to all speakers.
Please note that the time allocated to scientific presentations includes both the presentation and the discussion period.
Oral Presentations
- To ensure the smooth running of the scientific program and strict adherence to the conference schedule, all oral presentations must be uploaded to the conference system by the Audio-Visual Team before the start of the session. Speakers who need to present from their own laptop are kindly requested to inform the organizers in advance and arrange a connection test before the session begins. Any time required for laptop connection, setup, or troubleshooting will be included within the speaker’s allocated presentation time.
- The following time limits apply:
- Plenary Lectures: 45 minutes (including questions)
- Keynote Lectures: 25 minutes (including questions)
- Stakeholder Presentations: 20 minutes (including questions)
- Invited Oral Presentations: 20 minutes (including questions)
- Oral Presentations: 15 minutes (including questions)
To help speakers keep track of time, an appropriate timing system will be used to indicate when the end of the allotted time is approaching.
We kindly ask all speakers to plan their presentations accordingly and to leave sufficient time for discussion whenever possible.
In particular, if the entire allotted time is used for the presentation itself, questions and discussion will need to be postponed until the coffee break or another informal opportunity.
We will also ask Session Chairs to pay particular attention to timekeeping and to assist speakers in ensuring that the schedule is respected throughout the conference.
Divisional Award Presentations
For Divisional Award presentations, the following presentation times apply. Note that these presentations do not include a discussion period.
- Master’s Degree Award: 12 minutes
- PhD Award: 15 minutes
- Bicelli Young Electrochemist Award: 25 minutes
Poster Presentations
Authors presenting posters are kindly requested to adhere as closely as possible to the recommended poster dimensions, i.e. 110 cm (height) x 80 cm (width). This will allow posters to be mounted easily on the designated boards using the clips that will be provided by the conference organizers.
Thank you very much for your cooperation and for helping us make GEI 2026 a successful, enjoyable, and well-organized event.
We do look forward to welcoming you to GEI 2026 at Palazzo Brera!
