PhD Program in Nutritional Sciences

The PhD Program in Nutritional Sciences (DSN) offers multidisciplinary and translational training in nutrition research, encompassing the fields of medical, pharmacological, agricultural, and veterinary sciences.

It aims to train specialists with in-depth knowledge of nutrition and metabolism, exploring topics such as clinical nutrition, the nutritional characterization of foods, and the metabolic effects of foods and nutrients at different stages of development, both in physiological and pathological conditions, through a clinical and molecular approach.

The synergistic integration of these areas of expertise makes the program both innovative and highly attractive.

Educational Objectives

The PhD Program in Nutritional Sciences (DSN) aims to develop advanced competencies in nutrition research, training experts capable of addressing scientific challenges with a critical and integrated perspective. The program spans three years and includes mandatory attendance.
Its goal is to foster a thorough understanding of nutritional and metabolic processes, promoting the use of innovative and multidisciplinary methodologies. The program is designed to encourage scientific independence, analytical skills, and the practical application of knowledge, preparing doctoral students to make meaningful contributions to the advancement of nutritional sciences.
