PhiLab is an interdisciplinary research lab which investigates human social interaction. We specialise in behavioural studies broadly conceived to include cognitive neuroscience, psychology, experimental economics, experimental philosophy, anthropology, sociology,  experimental ethnography, sensory ethnography and linguistics.

Our research projects examine perception, action and emotions in social contexts, verbal and non-verbal behaviour in mundane interaction, as well as cognitive processes such as memory, attention and decision-making.

We take both a pure and applied research approach, with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration.

PhiLab is based in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Milan (Italy) and is funded by the “Department of Excellence” project.
