Short CV

Born in 1974, in 1998 she graduated summa cum laude in Industrial Chemistry at Università degli Studi di Milano and in 2001 she got a PhD in Industrial Chemistry, awarded by the same University. She then graduated in 2016 in the Master of Science course in Chemical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano as second graduation with 110/110 mark.

Since December 1st 2021 she is Full Professor of Chemical Industrial Plants at the Dept. of Chemistry of the University of Milano.

She has been responsible of research contracts on behalf of important industries, such as ENI, Itelcond, Garo, ACS Dobfar, Larioreti, BASF, Petrochem, Italcom, SAES Getters, Claind, Sotacarbo and Clariant. She was also national coordinator of different research projects granted by MUR, Regione Lombardia and Fondazione Cariplo.

See the On-going projects page for details.

AWARDS

She has been awarded the Chiusoli Medal in 2016 from the Industrial Chemisty Division of the Italian Chemical Society “For her multidisciplinary approach finalised to the development of highly innovative processes, mainly in the field of hydrogen production and use

The PhD thesis of which she was tutor “Catalytic and photocatalytic processes for the production of alternative fuels and chemicals from renewable sources”, Matteo Compagnoni, a.y. 2017, was awarded with the Parmaliana prize in 2018 as the best PhD thesis by the Interdivisional Group of Catalysis of the Italian Chemical Society

The PhD thesis “Metal Oxides: preparation by an Innovative Flame method and Catalytic Applications” of which she was co-tutor won the 2008 edition of the ENI Award debut in research prize.

Many students of her group received prizes for the best thesis awarded by Federchimica and other fundations.
