Commercial Court Users’ Group: Meeting Report – March 2018

On 29 April 2018, the Judiciary of England and Wales published the Commercial Court Users’ Group Meeting Report – March 2018. Contained within that report are some statistics regarding the number and outcome of arbitration claims within the Commercial Court over the past three years. The Report states that arbitration claims made up approximately 30% of the total claims issued over the period. Statistics show the number and percentage of claims brought under S68 (Serious irregularity) and S69  (Appeal on a point of law) of the Arbitration Act 1996.
