The weighting and duration of judicial proceedings will be examined during the meeting of the CEPEJ SATURN Centre.
The Steering Group of the SATURN Centre for Judicial Time Management (CEPEJ-SATURN) will hold its 23rd meeting on 5 and 6 April 2018 in Strasbourg. Its work will mainly concern the devising of a case weighting indicator for jurisdictions.
The Group will also examine the updated analysis on the length of court proceedings in the member states of the Council of Europe, based on the case law of the European Court of Human Rights (as of 2017) with a view to its adoption.
Finally, the Group will continue its work on the role of parties and practitioners in preventing delays in judicial proceedings, dashboards for court management and the management of the rules of judicial time for criminal cases in accordance with Articles 5 and 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
