Salvatore Giugliano joins the team BRIO

Salvatore Giugliano joins the project BRIO as a postdoc at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of the University of Naples, Federico II.

His postdoc will start on May 1, 2023.

Salvatore Giugliano received the M.S. degree in Computer Science and the Ph.D. degree in Information Technology and Electrical Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II, Italy, in 2019 and 2023, respectively. He is currently a researcher with the Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering of University of Naples Federico II. His current research interests include Artificial Intelligence methods and eXplainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) approaches for explaining the AI system’s decisions.

Primiero at the data ethics special session of the conference “Statistics for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence”, 27-28 April, Pavia

April 19-21, Delft, the Netherlands. Giacomo Zanotti will present the PoliMi unit’s work on Trustworthy AI (Zanotti G., Chiffi D., Petrolo M., Schiaffonati V., Keep trusting! A plea for Trustworthy AI) at the 2023 forum on Philosophy, Engineering and Technology (19-21/04, Delft).

May 10-12, Pisa and Lucca, Italy. Giacomo Zanotti will present his paper “The meta-problem of artificial consciousness and moral status” at the SINe conference 2023 (10-12/05, Pisa-Lucca).

June 7-9, Rome, Italy. Giacomo Zanotti will present the PoliMi unit’s work on Trustworthy AI (Zanotti G., Chiffi D., Petrolo M., Schiaffonati V., Keep trusting! A plea for Trustworthy AI) at the MBR conference 2023 (7-9/06, Rome).

Giuseppe Primiero at the ASL Session of the Pacific Meeting of the American Philosophical Association

Giuseppe Primiero will be presenting the work currently developed by members of the UNIMI Unit of the BRIO Project with a talk titled “Logics for Fair AI” at the Association for Symbolic Logic Session hosted at the Pacific Meeting of the American Philosophical Association in San Francisco, California, from 3 to 8 of April 2023.
