Dr. Xiaoyulong Chen attended the PhD programme (2012-2015; 28th cycle; tutor: Prof. Cortesi, DeFENS) of “Chemistry, Biochemistry and Ecology of Pesticides”, one of the PhD programmes that took part to the 2013 foundation of the PhD programme of Food Systems (see “Short story of the PhD Programme of Food Systems” under “General Info“).
He is actually University Lecturer of the recently established College of Tobacco Science at the Guizhou University (Guiyang, China) and his main actual research interests are regarding:
– Mining and functional analysis of key chitinase regulators in biocontrol streptomycetes
– Isolation of benefical endophytes from tobacco plants
– Developing and utilization of microbial resources to control tobacco pests
He is among the organizers of the “First International Congress of Biological Control (Biological Control for a Healthy Planet)” to be held at Beijing Friendship Hotel and Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, May 14-16, 2018 (Beijing, China).
