PhD title achieved on: 21st December 2017
Research topic
Biotechnological processes for the transformation of agri-food residues into value-added molecules
Project Synopsis
In this PhD project we will try to improve the native biotechnological features of acetic acid bacteria (AAB) through the use of recombinant DNA technology. The aim is to study the possibility to use AAB as a “cell factories” to obtain an expression protein system in acetic acid bacteria leading to the preparation of products of industrial interest.
Project keywords
acetic acid bacteria (AAB), biocatalysis, continuous processes, green chemistry
