Development of new chemical and biological strategies for the control of pathogenic microorganisms in the agri-food chain.
Project Synopsis
The aims of my PhD project are to design and synthetize natural inspired compounds and to study their interaction with known biological targets, present at molecular level in pathogenic microorganisms (i.e. enzymes or membranes of pathogenic fungi and bacteria). The evaluation of the interactions of the molecules with the biological target, will assess the efficacy and prelude their future application in the field of plant protection.
