Research topic:
Development of new chemical and biological strategies for the control of pathogenic microorganisms in the agri-food chain.
Project Synopsis
I will focus the research activity on the design and preparation of nature-derived antifungal compounds, using innovative and green synthetic strategies. Particular attention will be paid to the reduction of environmental and human risks. I will also work on the recovery and recycle of food industry waste as resource of valuable starting materials for the synthesis of bioactive compounds.
